How To Make A Gold Margarita Cocktail

Step 1:

You will need

• 2 tsp sea salt
• 1 lime wedge
• 50 ml gold tequila
• 15 ml Cointreau
• Juice of 1/2 a lime
• Ice cubes
• 2 tsp sea salt

• 1 saucer
• 1 cocktail glass
• 1 chopping board
• 1 knife
• 1 squeezer
• 1 shot measure
• 1 cocktail shaker
• 1 strainer (if the shaker doesn't include one) or a small sieve

Step 2:

Prepare your cocktail

This cocktail is a shaken cocktail. It is shaken to mix the ingredients together and then strained it into the cocktail glass.

First, cut a lime in half and reserve one half for juicing, then cut a wedge from one half.

Rub the rim of the cocktail glass with the lime wedge, reserve the wedge for decoration.

Put the glass upside down into the salt, turn it around a couple of times to coat it completely, and leave the glass to one side.

Take the remaining half a lime and using a squeezer, squeeze it thoroughly. Keep the juice at hand to use shortly.

Next, put several ice cubes into the shaker.

Then, measure out 50 millilitres of gold tequila - more or less a long splash - and pour it over the ice.

Follow this with 15 millilitres or a dash of Cointreau and finally, avoiding any pips going in, pour in the lime juice.

Secure the lid tightly on the shaker and holding both ends, shake at an angle for about 20 seconds

When you finish, remove the lid and attach the strainer to the top.

Now, cut a notch in the wedge of lime reserved earlier, and place on the side of the gals to decorate.

Holding the strainer down tightly, pour the drink into the salt-rimmed cocktail glass.
