How To Make A Habanero Salsa
Pamela Lalbachan, chef and food writer, shows you how to make a spicy and fresh habanero salsa. Serve with tortilla chips, or with some grilled meat or fish.

Ingredients
- 2 habanero peppers
- 4 vine ripened tomatoes
- 4 shallots
- 1 coriander, chopped
- 1 parsley, chopped
- 2 extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- salt
- pepper
Method
Using a knife and fork, slice off the sides of the habanero peppers, then cut them very finely.
Deseed and chop the tomatoes, then add them to a bowl with the chopped chilli.
Add the chopped shallots, parsley and coriander.
Add the olive oil and the juice of half a lime, salt and pepper. Stir well, and leave for about 20 minutes for the flavours to come together.
