Many of the juices sold in supermarkets today contain added sugars and preservatives. If you would like to make healthy juice from whole fruits and vegetables, this is the video for you. In this video, you will learn how to make a healthy juice!
How to make a healthy juice. Juices are a great way of enabling you to get your vitamins and minerals and part of your five a day, especially if like some people, you don't like eating hard vegetables or fruits. It is a good way of getting a goodness into children.
For this, I am going to make apple, carrot, and ginger. Obviously, the quantities can depend on your preference. We are actually going to use equal parts of apple to carrot.
We add a little bit of ginger, again to taste. I am actually going to put this in while I make it. You may wish to juice your ginger separately and then just add it as you wish.
Now all you need to do is prepare your vegetables and your fruit. These have already been washed. I am just going to take the tops off because they can still be a little bit dirty there.
I am going to cut the apples in half or in quarters depending on the machine. The machine I have with me at the moment is an industrial machine. You can buy smaller versions on the high street or the supermarkets.
Again, we are just going to a little bit, half of this ginger. It is quite a strong ingredient there. These usually come with a plunger.
If you plunge your fruit or vegetables down and there are any problems with a blockage in the machine, just turn it off and start again. I am just going to turn that on. Make sure you have a jug and the bin at the back.
I am going to put carrots in the top. Put the ginger in next and follow with the apples. That will just help clear the ginger juice.
Okay, now that is finished juicing. Leave the jug there for a few seconds just to collect the remaining juice. While it is doing that, you can get your glass ready.
Once that is finished, you may wish to put another container there just to collect the rest. Just pour that into a glass. You can just drink that now as is.
It is ready to go. If you wish, you can add a little bit more ginger or a little bit more apple juice, anything you really want. And that is how you make a healthy juice! .
