Step 1: You will need

  • 50 ml tequila
  • 15 ml sambuca
  • 3 coffee beans to garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 shot measure
  • 1 mixing glass
  • 1 barspoon or cocktail stirrer
  • 1 strainer or small sieve

Step 2: Prepare your cocktail

This cocktail is stirred in a mixing glass using either a long-handled spoon or a cocktail stirrer. Then it will be strained it out into the glass.

To begin, half fill the mixing glass with ice cubes.

Then, measure out 50 millilitres of tequila, or just a big splash, and add it to the glass.

Next, add 15 millilitres of sambuca - the equivalent of more or less a long dash.

Now take the barspoon or cocktail stirrer and stir the drink thoroughly.

Attach the cocktail strainer to the top of the mixing glass. Here a small sieve will do. It's just to prevent the ice cubes from splashing out into the glass.

Step 3: Present your cocktail

Take a cocktail glass and strain the drink into it.

And finally, for that all important finishing touch, garnish with the three coffee beans.
