Not to worry, VideoJug will show you how to whip up a quick easy, cheesy appetizer in just a few minutes. Follow our chef's recipe and your guests will be coming back for seconds.

Step : You will need

  • 230 g Brie cheese
  • ¼ cups (60ml) brown sugar
  • 1 tube crescent rolls, uncooked
  • 1 crackers, box
  • cooking sheet

Step 1: Ready The Wrap

Unwrap 1 tube of crescent roll dough and lay flat on a plate. Place your 1/2 pound (227 g) Brie cheese in the middle of the unwrapped dough.

Step 2: Season With Sugar

Add 1/4 cup (50 g) brown sugar to top of the Brie. Pat down firmly until the whole top is covered. You can add as little or as much brown sugar as desired.

Step 3: Brie In A Blanket

Carefully wrap all sides of the Brie in the crescent dough. Make sure to seal off any open seams with the dough and finish by molding the dough to the Brie.

Step 4: Bake And Serve

Bake the Brie in a 350F (180C/Gas Mark #4) oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve with crackers or bread. Enjoy!

The crescent roll things look like what I know as croissants from a can.. If that is indeed what it is, then it is similar to puff pastry, but with more butter (and thus taste).

Okay , I am trying to get a UK translation for the term "Crescent Roll" and can't find one . Is this like what the UK denizens would call "Puff Pastry ? Also , as this appears to be quite sweet (though the cheese Brie is usually quite tasteless) would it not be a pudding rather than an appetiser . Like , cheese and crackers ? Would be good with cranberry's instead of the brown sugar perhaps . Pah , what do I know :-)
