|Mint Jelup is a drink that is popular with the Kentucky derby goers. The mint served is traditionally Spearmint. The drink is very similar to a mojito and it's usually topped with a mint sprig garnish.
The Mint Julep is a classic cocktail most commonly thought of as the drink of the Kentucky derby. Our recipe comes from Woodford Reserve master distiller, Chris Morris. First to a glass, add four sprigs of Mint, one tea spoon of powdered sugar and two teaspoons of water, then muddle.
Now, add two to two and a half ounces of Woodford Reserve bourbon topped with crushed ice. Mint Julep. It's post time.
