How To Make A Pair Of Earrings

Hi. I'm Jessica from the London Jewelry School, and today I'm going to show you how to make some jewelry. So I'm going to show you how to make a pair of earrings.

For this project, you will need your side-cutters, some round nosed pliers, a pair of headpins, a pair of ear hooks, and some beads to put on your earrings. To start with, you take your two headpins and you're going to pop your beads on. That's one, and your other pair.

Now we're going to make a loop at the end of your head but it's a little bit too long, so we first of all, have to cut it down with the side cutters. And a good way to judge how long to cut it, is you want it about the length of your pinky finger, so I need to cut a tiny bit off the end. Always cut down into your mat.

I'm going to do the same on both. So just check, and cut the end off. Now you're ready to make your loop.

You're going to use your round nosed pliers. Put the wire into the pliers a little bit down from the bottom, making sure there's nothing sticking out the other end. And you're just going to twist all the way around to make your loop.

It's really important to make sure your loop is completely closed. If your loops aren't completely closed, then your earrings could fall off. Finally, you're going to take your ear wires, open them up at the bottom with your round nosed pliers and hook your beads with the ear wire on.

Finally, you're just going to close those up, again making sure they're 100% closed. And there, you're done. A pair of earrings!.
