How To Make A Paper Hat

Alright, this is how you make a paper hat. We're going to fold an origami chef hat using a piece of newspaper. First of all, fold it in half, open it back up, fold the horizontal and open it back up.

Fold it back in half and now, we're going to fold this line to meet this line diagonally, like so. We're going to repeat on this side, then turn it around, and we're just going to fold this top flap to meet the bottom of those triangles. We're going to then fold it again to overlap the triangles.

Turn it over, and we're going to fold this edge to meet the middle line and repeat on the other side. We're going to fold this edge to meet the bottom of that right there, and we're going to fold it again. Now, to finish it, see this flap we just folded here? We're going to tuck it in to here and here, so the hat will lock into place.

So, literally lift it up and we're going to tuck it in to that pocket, like so. Just push it in and then repeat. On this side, open that flap up and push that corner in and it will lock into place like so.

To finish it, we're just going to fold this tip to there and push that tip inside that pocket. Finally, you open up the hat like so and there's your hat. .
