Oh wow. Thats a lot of steps. Its not very good though with girls with thick and a bit wavier hair such as me. If we have straightened our hair, we cant use all the products you did. Its a whole lot, but at least I know how to make a "perfect" one now.

I think wrapping that band around the hair is easier when you've got someone do it for you. The dexterity required for this kind of ponytail is more than the regular no-nonsense woman who just wants the hair out of her face.

I just tried the homemade "hair bungee," and it worked great! I seriously just made the best-looking ponytail I've ever done on myself. The bungee method really helps to keep my hair in place while I'm tying it up, rather than the usual elastic method. Try it! It wasn't difficult at all!

This is seriously so easy. The salt water helps to keep hair from flying away. The model's hair was "messed up" at the end when he was showing the TRADITIONAL PONYTAIL METHOD against the PERFECT PONYTAIL METHOD. Lastly, it certainly does matter what the "bottom part" of your hair looks like. Saggy ponytails looks terrible.

I understand the comments about just using a regular band or not needing all the steps since a ponytail is often for a quick style to get the hair out of your way. However, I think the "perfect ponytail" is very pretty, I would wear it for an evening out while dressed up, I would not wear a "regular ponytail" in that case. Sure it is more steps, but very pretty. And the hair bungee is much more kind to your hair, I've done that in the past, I'm trying to grow my hair long and healthy, a regular band can damage your hair when you try to remove it. thank you for the video!

The one problem I have with the demonstration, is that it shows how to have someone else make your ponytail. I can do most all of the steps myself, except for the part where he brushes the hair into his hand. - When creating the tail by myself, the hand holding the ponytail is to the side and on top of the tail, and not under it, as he shows. I do not know if it is a physical possibility to put it underneath.
