Step 1: You will need...
- 1 tsp caster sugar
- 30 ml lemon juice
- 2 tsp water
- 75 ml dark or light rum
- 1 maraschino cherry
- 1 lemon slice
- ice cubes
- 1 shot measure
- 1 barspoon or stirrer
- 1 highball glass
- 1 chopping board
- 1 knife
- 1 straw
Step 2: Prepare your cocktail
This cocktail is going to be prepared and served directly into the serving glass. First, take a lemon and cut it in half. Then squeeze one half thoroughly and keep the juice to one side. Now, take the glass and add to it the teaspoon of caster sugar.
Next, measure out 30 millilitres of the fresh lemon juice and pour this into the glass followed by 2 teaspoons of water. Stir the ingredients together well. Then, fill the glass with ice cubes. Finally, add the rum and stir again.
Step 3: Present your cocktail
For the finishing touch, add a slice of lemon to the glass and serve with a straw. Enjoy!
