How To Make A Sequined Christmas Decoration
A paper crafts designer shows how to create a unique Christmas bauble, using sequins and a polystyrene ball. The decoration may be used on a tree or elsewhere.
Now, I'm going to show you how to make a sequined bauble. You will need a polystyrene ball and a variety of sequins, and then some sequin pins, and you'll need a box for about two balls, and a piece of ribbon to attach the bauble to your tree or wherever you want to put it. The first thing you need to do is attach the ribbon to the bauble, and you do this by getting a sequin pin and a sequin, and sticking that in, folding it over, and again, getting another sequin and a pin to cover it.
To create the bauble, simply choose the sequins in whatever color you want and place through the center. You'll see the pinhead there, but actually, when you start building them, they add to the shiny metallic effect of the bauble. And then, once you've finished putting your sequins in, you can get a nice interesting effect like that.
Here, I've used pink, black, purple and stripes to create this sort of effect. With this one, I've used gold sequins through the middle, with pink and then a different shade of pink. So, if you're feeling really creative, you can create lots of different patterns.
And there you have your sequined Christmas decoration. .
