How To Make A Sevilla Cocktail

Step 1: You will need

  • 50 ml light rum
  • 25 ml port
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 1 whole egg
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 shot measure
  • 1 cocktail shaker
  • 1 strainer (if the shaker doesn't include one) or a small sieve
  • 1 sour glass or a small champagne glass

Step 2: Prepare

Begin by filling the cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
Measure out and pour in 50ml of light rum and 25ml of port.

Mix in 1 teaspoon of caster sugar.

Finally, crack an egg onto the side of the cocktail shaker and discard the shell.

You should shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for approximately 20 seconds.

Step 3: Pour and enjoy.

Finish by pouring the mixture into the sour glass. Enjoy something Spanish that isn't Sangria!
