How To Make A Singapore Sling Cocktail

Step 1:

You will need

Step 2:

Lime juice
-
Add 7.5 ml or one and a half teaspoons of lime juice to a mixing glass.

Pineapple juice
-
Then 75 ml or 2.5 fl oz of pineapple juice

Angostura bitters
-
a dash of angostura bitters

Step 5:

Benedictine
-
7.5 ml or one and a half teaspoons of Benedictine

Step 6:

Cherry brandy
-
Next add 15 ml or three teaspoons of cherry brandy

Step 7:

Cointreau
-
7.5 ml or a teaspoon and a half of Cointreau

Step 8:

Gin
-
Add 25 ml, or 1 fl oz of gin

Step 9:

Grenadine
-
and 7.5 ml or a teaspoon and a half of Grenadine

Step 10:

Ice cubes
-
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes

Shake
-
Put the top half of the cocktail shaker on. Slap it down firmly to seal. Hold the top and bottom, and shake vigorously over your shoulder for about 20 seconds.

Handy Hint
-
When you see condensation on the outside of the shaker and it feels very cold, the Singapore Sling is mixed.

Step 12:

Release
-
Tap the side of the shaker to loosen the two halves. You may need to rock the glass back and forth to release it.

Strain
-
Now place the strainer over the shaker and strain into the long glass.

Crushed Ice
-
Top up the drink with crushed ice.

Garnish

Add two straws, a slice of pineapple, and a glacier cherry, and serve.
