How To Make A Smiler Cocktail

Step 1: You will need the following
- 50 ml tequila
- 25 ml lemon juice
- ½ tsp caster sugar
- 2 tsp ruby port
- 1 maraschino cherry
- Some Ice cubes
- 1 chopping board
- 1 knife
- 1 squeezer
- 1 shot measure
- 1 cocktail shaker
- 1 strainer (if the shaker doesn't include one) or a small sieve
- 1 highball glass
Step 2: Prepare your cocktail
Begin by preparing the lemon juice.
First, take a lemon and cut it in half.
Next, half fill the shaker with ice cubes to chill the cocktail.
Then, measure out 50 millilitres of tequila or a long splash and pour it over the ice.
Follow this with 25 millilitres or just a splash of the lemon juice.
Now add half a teaspoon of caster sugar.
And last but not least, 2 teaspoons of ruby port.
Secure the lid on the shaker then holding both the top and bottom, shake at an angle for about 20 seconds.
When you finish, remove the lid and attach the strainer to the top if your shaker doesn't have one.
Step 3: Present your cocktail
Take the highball glass and almost fill it with ice cubes.
Then holding on to the strainer, gently pour the cocktail over the ice.
Finally, garnish with a maraschino cherry and it's ready to serve!
