Expert advice on getting a long lasting tan: Getting and keeping a beautiful long-lasting tan is not an easy task. This informative video tells you the easiest and most effective way to get and keep a beautiful long-lasting tan using Ultra Sun.
How to make a tan last is such an important question for so many of us. I have to work so hard to get a tan; my skin is naturally fair which is why when I found products like Ultra Sun that offered me that protection, I bought them from Switzerland straight to England to share them with everybody. To make your tan last, make sure that it is a really gentle gradual tan; that is the best possible thing you can do to get a long lasting tan.
So, no burning, no rushing, no over-exposing, just a really gradual tan. Then, once your tan starts to develop, look after your skin. Keep hydrated, plenty of water, and also keep your skin hydrated with a really good body moisturizer or after sun.
Ultra Sun do an after sun that has all sorts of enzymes in there, that are going to really help your skins' own natural system to look after that tan and prolong it as long as possible. Also, if you are coming back to a cold climate, maybe you have gone on a winter sun break, do not be tempted to show off your tan to everyone too soon. The moment we start to expose the skin to a colder environment or air conditioning, the skin becomes a little damaged, it is sort of being under attack and it will start to repair itself, and that means we start seeing new skin cells and we start to lose the tan.
So if you do come back to colder weather, look after your skin, look after your body and keep yourself well protected from the elements. Of course, one great tip and one that I would always follow is to follow up any great holiday with a pattern of spray tans or fake tan that you like to use. This means that your tan will naturally prolong, you have got that beautiful base tan already and you can just keep that topped up.
Many people come to me looking for the absolute perfect tan and sometimes, when I talk to them about the protection levels I would like them to have, an SPF 30 or even 50, they look quite horrified. But I cannot tell you how many letters, emails and phone calls I get from people saying that by using these high protection factors, they have got best most long lasting tan they have ever had. So I urge you to really start from the beginning.
Look after your skin while you are in the sun and you will see the results even when you come home up to weeks and months later, like so many other people who have used good high protection before you. And that is how to make your tan really last.
