How To Make A Tomato Curry

In this step-by-step guide, Paul Mulvenna-Pegrum, head chef at the George Inn at Old Oxted, shows you how to make a sweet and spicy tomato curry.

You Will Need

  • 400 g tinned tomatoes
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 2 honey
  • 3 white wine vinegar
  • 50 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 worcestershire sauce
  • 1 curry powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tobasco sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • pepper
  • salt

Method

Heat your pan and add the cherry tomatoes followed by the tinned tomatoes, vinegar, curry powder, paprika, tobasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, sugar, vegetable stock, pepper and salt.

Stir together and bring to the boil, then turn down the heat and leave to simmer for 20-25 minutes to cook and thicken.
