How To Make A Vintage Hairband

In this video, I'm going to show you how to make a vintage-inspired hairband using a little bit of denim. It could be from your old jeans, and this one has a slight stretch. And for this example, I've cut it to eight centimeters to four or five centimeters.

To start, you'll need needle and thread, scissors, and we have a bit of elastic, and some embellishment to finish it off. So, to start, we'll fold a couple of bits together and then insert your elastic in the middle, so we sandwich in the middle. And try to patch it, just use your needle and thread and just join that together.

Repeat this process for the other end as well. So, now that you've attached the two ends, that elastic should give you enough to go around your head. To finish off, you might add embellishment.

Anything from buttons, open netting, or I just have a bit of scrap fabric I've joined, I've kind of gathered them together and again, just layering on top of each other, and hand stitch it. And that's how you make a vintage-inspired headband. .
