Hi there, my name is James again, from 64th & social and I'm going to show you how to make a Whiskey Sour. for this one, I'm going to use Jack Daniels, probably the most popular American Whiskey in the world. It's great stuff, and it's just got lots of character and it's mixable and it's not expensive to use either.

and if you put it in a Whiskey sour, just adds a little bit of sweetness to the drink that just gives it a bit more depth.

First ingredient I'm going to add is egg white, again just to give the drink a bit of texture.it's a necessary ingredient as far as I'm concerned, in a Whiskey Sour. I'm going to use a couple spoonfuls of caster sugar. Caster sugar has a different effect on the drink from gum.

Caster sugar gives it almost a sherbety texture in the tongue. I'm going to use the juice of half a lemon.just to balance out the sweetness of the sugar. Again, just give a stir to make sure that the sugar dissolves.

I'm going to use 50 milliliters of Jack Daniels. Going to give it a dry shake, again just to foam up the egg, make sure the drink's got that texture. Ok.

just give a taste before I mix it with ice.

make sure it's balanced.

Just going to add a little bit of gum, a touch of angus ., just for depth. Give the drink a good shake for about 10 seconds.To garnish, I'm just going to cut a long lemon twist, strain it over cubed ice, and if you see that the texture of the drink, just look at the top where the egg whites come to the drink. Just give it a little twist.

Spray the oils from the lemon, put it around the side, drop it in. It's best to serve these drinks without straws if xxx because of the egg white in them because if you're drinking it from a straw, you're not going to get the texture from the egg white. And that's how you make a Whiskey Sour.
