Ingredients

  • 1 tsp dried yeast
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 olive oil
  • red onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes
  • mozzarella

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

Combine 1 tsp dried yeast with some warm water. Place 250g of flour into a bowl. Add 1 tsp of sugar to the yeast.

Step 2: Make the Tomato Sauce

Add 3 tbdp of olive oil to a pan and heat. Add some chopped onion, then add garlic a few minutes later. Add 400g of chopped tomatoes. Place a stick blender into the mixture and mix. Turn the temperature down to a simmer.

Step 3: Make the Dough

Add a pinch of salt to the flour in your bowl. Add the yeast mixture to the bowl. Crack in 1 egg. Mix well. Knead the dough until you have a nice, consistent texture. Then roll out the dough using a rolling pin/tube of cling film.

Step 4: Top the Pizza

Layer the tomato sauce onto the base evenly. Scatter mozzarella all over the pizza. Place in a woodfire oven for 1-2 minutes until cooked.
