How To Make A Xmas Card Using Wrapping Paper

Make a stylish Christmas card using bits of leftover wrapping paper. Environmental conscious, and will save you that extra money during the winter months.

Step 1: You will need

  • blank card with envelope - you can buy these from a craft shop
  • Leftover wrapping paper
  • Card from tights, a shirt, a notepad or an old invitation
  • Adhesive tape
  • Adhesive foam pads
  • Scissors
  • Gold cord or ribbon
  • metallic pen

Step 2: Cut out the present

Use a piece of stiff card to cut out the shape of a small rectangular present.

Step 3: Wrap up

Cut out a piece of leftover wrapping paper bigger than the present shape. Fold the paper over the card and secure at the back with tape.

Step 4: Tie a bow

Tie curling ribbon or metallic cord over and around the present shape. Tape it down at the back to make it easier to tie the cord into a bow on top of the present.
If you are using wired cord, be sure to knot the ends and trim. Then curl the ends of the cord.

Step 5: Stick down

Stick the present to a blank card with adhesive foam pads. Make sure it is not crooked.

Step 6: Write a message

Finally, add a festive message inside the card using a metallic marker pen.
