How To Make Almond Milk
This video is designed to teach you how to make your own almond milk. Videojug walks you through the process, making it look quite simple to do at home.
So, what you need here is a blender. You need your almonds. I've chosen to soak these cups of almonds overnight, and then I've got four cups of water.
Normally, the ratio is one cup of almonds and three cups of water. And the last that you'll need is a jug and a nut-milk bag from which you'll extract the milk from the pulp. So, what you need to do is just add your almonds to the blender, stick that on there.
This is a high speed blender, by the way. You can use about any blender but the high powered blenders have a smoother finish. So, you just place that on there.
This blender's quite loud, so watch out. Alright, that should be enough. It's roughly about 30 seconds to a minute that you need to blend.
And now, what you'll need to do is take your nut-milk bag and place it over the edge of your container, make sure it's secure, and then pour it in. And of course, these are the therapeutic bits. You just use the draw string, wrap that around, and then literally milk the bag.
As you can see, it doesn't take that long, but you want to make sure you get a very dry pulp. You're also extracting all the goodness out of it as well. So as you can see, it doesn't take very long, and then what you can do is save that pulp and you can use it in other recipes.
You can use it in cakes, pies puddings, and things like that, so there's no waste. And there, is your almond milk. .
