Step 1: You will need
- 50 ml light rum
- 15 ml Cointreau/Triple Sec
- some ice cubes
- 30 ml lime juice
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp caster sugar
- mint to garnish
- 1 shot measure
- 1 mixing glass
- 1 strainer (or a sieve)
- 1 old-fashioned glass
- 1 bar spoon or stirrer
Step 2: Prepare your cocktail
Begin by cutting a lime in half and squeezing the juice from one half. Put the juice aside for later.
Next, separate the white of the egg from the yolk of the egg using both halves of the broken shell.
Now place a couple of ice cubes into the cocktail shaker.
Measure out and pour in 50ml of light rum and 15ml of Cointreau or Triple Sec.
Pour in the lime juice, add the egg white and 1 tablespoon of caster sugar.
Shake vigorously and strain into an old-fashioned glass.
Step 3: Serve
Garnish your cocktail with a sprig of mint. An excellent way to unwind at the end of a hard day's work!
