Recipe and demonstration of how to make a reasonably healthy Oreo milkshake using skimmed milk, frozen fruit, ice cream and Oreos. You are going to love this!
In this video, we're going to show you how to make an Oreo milkshake. The first thing you're going to need are your ingredients and for our version of an Oreo milkshake, you'll need milk, we're using semi-skimmed milk but you can use full-fat or skim, totally up to you. Then we have ice cream, we have just normal vanilla flavoured ice cream, we've got Oreos, 3 Oreo biscuits, and 70 grams of frozen strawberries.
In terms of equipment, the only thing you're going to need for this is a blender. We're using a Vita-Mix blender, which is a commercial blender, so it's going to blend it up very quickly. But the domestic blender works just as well, it'll just take a little more time.
So, here we are, 2 mils of milk, we're going to add in all the strawberries, that's 70 grams of frozen strawberries and we're using frozen because it's going to make the milkshake a little bit thicker. So, if we just add those in, then we're going to add our ice cream and we're going to put 2 scoops in, the magic ingredient. So, once it's finished blending, we can have a look and see if you're happy, you got the consistency right, think that's about perfect.
So, what we have now is a really nice, thick, creamy milkshake that has a really nice bite or Oreo in there. So that's Love Smoothies' Oreo milkshake and it was made using semi-skimmed milk as a base, 70 grams of frozen strawberries, 2 scoops of ice cream and 3 broken Oreo biscuits.
