How To Make An Origami Boat

I am now going to make a very simple origami boat, starting off with a piece of paper here, square, white on one side, gray on the other. Fold the piece of paper in half diagonally, since we are going to be making a rowing boat. Next thing we do is fold the edges to the center line we just made.

To get this accurate, a very simple way of doing it is to reverse that fold and fold the raw edge up to the center. Next thing we are going to do is: we got an oblong rectangle here, at the top two points, we are going to fold the points down along the center line to make creases, turn it the other way up and repeat the process. So we have a lozenge shaped model.

The next thing we are going to do is the folded edges we just made, fold them in to the center line, press them nice and firm, and repeat on the other end of the model. So we have a nice arrow shape. Then we take these points on the right hand side and the left hand side, and fold them to the center.

Now we have a diamond shape piece with these folded in. Next thing we do is open the model up, and reverse the corners and the edges, and then we have a boat.
