Step 1: Prepare

  • 280 g Apples
  • ½ small Lemon, juiced
  • Sugar to taste

Step 2: Poach

Place them into a small saucepan with the lemon juice. Add a little sugar if the apples are tart, and seal the pan with a tight-fitting lid. You don't need to add any water - the juice from the apple will give enough moisture to poach in. Bring the apples to a simmer, and poach for around 8-10 minutes or until soft, stirring occasionally.

Step 3: Puree

When the apples are soft, remove them from the heat and puree in a food processor. Make sure you leave the puree to cool to a suitable temperature before feeding your baby.

Firs attempt failed miserably! :C The apple burnt and so did my pan! Not one to be a quitter i tried again steaming it instead and it worked fab.I then added my babys milk leaving out the sugar and butter as it was sweet already.Done as videojug would say! :D
