Step 1: You will need

  • 12 large shrimps, peeled and divined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 6 strips of bacon, cut in half
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 12 tooth picks
  • 1 bowl
  • 1 spoon
  • tongs
  • 1 tray
  • 1 grill pan

Step 2: Prepare the ingredients

Get all your ingredients ready to cook.

Step 3: Season the shrimps

Introduce the vinegar, honey, dill, parsley and olive oil into a bowl and using your spoon stir well.

Then salt and pepper, stir again well and place the shrimps carefully into the bowl of marinade.

Then, gently coat them by carefully combining them in the marinade. Leave them to marinate for twenty minutes.

Step 4: Wrap the shrimp with bacon

Take a shrimp and a slice of bacon. Roll the bacon lengthways around the shrimp. Then place it on a baking tray.

Repeat the same process folding and wrapping with all the shrimps and placing them in rows on the tray.

Step 5: Skewer the shrimps

Place the wooden skewer sideways through the body of the shrimp and skewer them.

Step 6: Preheat the pan

Allow the grill pan to warm up under a high heat for at least five minutes.

Step 7: Grill pan the shrimp

Using your tongs, individually place the wrapped shrimp into the dry hot grill pan. After a minute or so, turn them and allow the other side to cook.

Then, using your tongs again, remove them from the pan onto a baking tray.

Step 8: VIDEOJUG TIP

These shrimps can be barbecued and grilled normally as well.

Step 9: Garnish and serve

Your canapés are now ready to serve.

As a serving suggestion, place a few slices of lemon on a large serving platter to add a splash of colour and then place some shrimp on top.

Then, place the remaining prawns around the centre and enjoy!.
