Step 1: Preheat the oven

  • 30 g butter
  • 5 medium leeks, trimmed and sliced
  • 250 g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 100 ml chicken stock, or vegetable stock
  • 150 ml cream
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • 30 g grated parmesan
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 ovenproof dish
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 wooden spoon

Step 2: Prepare the leeks

Melt the butter over a medium heat and add the leeks. Saute the leeks for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3: Add mushrooms & herbs

Add the mushrooms and thyme leaves. Season with salt and pepper. Finally, add the garlic and cook for a further 3-4 minutes.

Step 4: Add chicken stock and cream

When the vegetables are lightly browned, add the chicken stock and cream. Bring to the boil.

Step 5: Bake in oven

Transfer the leeks to the oven dish and bake for 20 minutes.

Step 6: Remove and add parmesan

Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle over the parmesan.

Step 7: Bake again

Return the dish to the oven for a further 10 minutes, until most of the liquid has evaporated.

Step 8: Serve

Serve immediately.

    that's right that with the chicken stock , this is an error, cause thy do not know what is means to be a vegetarian, you can find this mistake in many "vegetarian' cookbooks

    i think the dish was very good cream and leeks would be to the persons tast and quantity

    You need to give the quantity of leeks and the type of cream ie single or double.
