How To Make Baked Onions
In this recipe Chef Paul Mulvenna-Pegrum makes baked onions with balsamic vinegar and fresh herbs. These onions are perfect with some rare roast beef, a nice piece of chicken, or a fillet of meaty fish like monk fish.

Ingredients
- 1 red onion
- 1 white onion
- 2 balsamic vinegar
- olive oil
- rosemary
- thyme
- salt
- pepper
Method
Peel and quarter your onions, then place them in a baking dish.
Add the balsamic vinegar, some olive oil, some fresh rosemary and thyme and a little salt and pepper to your onions. Mix everything together.
Cook in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.
