Step 1: Dice The Shallots

  • ½ medium shallot, diced
  • 75 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 150 ml olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • lemon juice, to taste

Step 2: Add Vinegar And Oil

Add 1/3 cup (75 ml) of balsamic vinegar and a pinch of salt and pepper to the shallots and begin to mix. Slowly pour 2/3 cup (150 ml) of olive or canola oil into the mixture, whisking briskly until the dressing becomes creamy.

Step 3: Season To Taste

Add salt and black pepper to taste. To brighten the flavor, add a small amount of pure lemon juice. Refrigerate and enjoy!
