Ingredients

  • 500 g blackberries
  • 500 ml water
  • 400 g white sugar

Step 1: Cook Your Blackberries

Give your blackberries a wash and then place into a pan on a medium heat. Pour in enough water to cover the blackberries and place the lid on top of the pan. Leave to simmer for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Make Up Your Cordial

After 30 minutes remove the pan from the heat and strain your blackberries into a jug. Pour in your sugar. You need to add 400g sugar to every 500ml of water. Stir the juice until all the sugar has dissolved and then leave to cool. To make up your cordial pour a small amount into a glass and mix with water.
