Step 1: You will need

Step 2: Apply brass polish

Put a generous amount of brass polish on to a paper towel. Apply it directly to the tarnished areas.

Step 3: Work it in

Rub the polish into the taps with a cloth.

Apply a little more brass polish to an old toothbrush. Rub around any detailing or hard to reach areas, such as the base of the tap.

Use a metal scourer if your taps are very badly stained.

Keep working the brass polish into the taps until you get a result you are pleased with, if your taps are very tarnished this may take sometime.

Step 4: Polish

To achieve an exceptionally high sheen, rub the taps with a duster. The more you rub, the more they will shine.

    Lord have mercy...when is the last century them taps was cleaned?? That sink looks like something whats been dragged up from the bottom of the Atlantic. Last time I saw scum like that it went by the name of my ex boyfriend. Keep your sinks clean people. This woman did a fantastic job, but really those taps need replacing. YUK!
