Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 6 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • 300 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • tbsp olive oil
  • black pepper

Step 1: Make The Eggwash

Mix the milk together with the eggs into a mixing bowl.

Step 2: Prepare The Chicken

You can either leave the chicken whole, or you can delicately slice the chicken down into practical portions, do whatever suits your cooking technique. Cover each piece of chicken with flour, then soak them in the eggwash, and finally lay them into the breadcrumbs. Repeat this process with each piece if necessary.

Step 3: Fry The Chicken

Place the chicken into a frying pan, set it to a high heat to fry the breaded chicken. Place some thyme on the top of each piece of chicken. Add some butter to the frying chicken. Turn the pieces of chicken over until each side of the pieces are a nice golden brown. After about 8 - 10 minutes, place the chicken pieces onto the chopping board.

Step 4: Serve The Chicken

Place the chicken onto a serving plate, sprinkle some black pepper on the top of the chicken, and then drizzle a small amount of olive oil on top.
