How To Make Buttered Green Beans

Step 1: You will need
- 220 g green beans, topped and tailed
- 1 knob of butter
- Salt
- 1 large saucepan or frying pan
- 1 spoon
Step 2: Cover the beans with boiling water
Put the beans in a pan and add enough boiling water to half-cover them.
Step 3: Add salt and butter
Add a pinch of salt and a knob of butter and half cover with a lid.
Step 4: Simmer gently until cooked
Bring the water back to the boil and then simmer gently until the beans are cooked but not soft (2-3 minutes) or until all the water has evaporated.
Step 5: Strain and serve
Strain off any remaining water and serve.
