Step : You will need

  • 6 large spring onions
  • 2 medium green peppers
  • 3 carrots
  • 300 g mushrooms
  • 1 bunch of celery
  • 1 large cabbage
  • 12 tsp bouillon powder dissolved in 3 litres of water
  • 1 tsp curry powder, optional

Slice the spring onions, put in a pot and start to saute with cooking spray.

Add the tinned tomatoes.

Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out. Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.

Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot.

Clean carrots, cut into bite size pieces, and add to pot.

Slice mushrooms into thick slices, add to pot.

If desired, add curry powder.

Mix 12 teaspoons of bouillon powder with 3 litres of water, add to pot, cover and put heat on low. Let soup cook for a long time - two hours works well. Season to taste with salt and pepper

    Even if she is using the low salt version of the Marigold bouillion that is 6 grams of sodium she has there , and then she adds more salt ???? Wow :-(

    Looks easy enough and delicious. If you don't already know to wash your vegetables, you shouldn't be cooking.

    I think she had the common sense to wash her vegetables first! Just wanted to ask, would it be possible to substitute the Bouillon Powder with Vegetable Stock? Wouldn't make much of a difference would it?

    Not good video for those who dont know how to cook. How about washing/rinsing the vegetables first.. soil if organic and pesticide if non organic.

    Hello! This site has some rare gems but this video was not one of them. I love cabbage soup a lot but this one is nothing I would eat. I'd prefer something simpler or non-beef borscht which are better balanced in taste. Cheers
