How To Make Candied Pecans

Ingredients
- 500 g pecan nuts
- 350 g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp rock salt
- 300 ml water
Step 1: Combine The Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine the pecan nuts, the cumin, the sugar, the mixed spices, the paprika, and the salt. Now add water to the saucepan, and stir well. Bring the saucepan to heat, and allow to simmer for about 20 minutes.
Step 2: Drain The Sauce
Place a sieve over a bowl, and pour all of the ingredients into this sieve, allowing the sauce to drain into the bowl.
Step 3: Roast The Pecan Nuts
Take the pecan nuts from this sieve and scatter them onto a baking tray. Cook them in the oven for about 20 minutes.
Step 4: Prepare The Pecan Nuts And Serve
Break up the pecan nuts and place them onto a serving plate.
