How To Make Carbonara Sauce

Ingredients
- pancetta
- 1 egg
- onion, chopped
- garlic, crushed
- double cream
- parmesan cheese
Method
Brown the pancetta. Add the chopped onion and garlic and fry for a further 5 or 6 seconds.
In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, cream and parmesan cheese. Add the pancetta, onion and garlic and whisk together. The heat from the cooked ingredients will cook the egg. Carbonara is a runny sauce, but the egg will also continue to cook when added to a bowl of hot pasta.
