trireme is correct. It is the Ecuadorian way to make it and this recipe was Wonderful! Thnx for sharing it.
Good, it is Ecuadorian way of ceviche. Peruvians are making it dry with other vegies. I prefer this way
That looked lovely.
thats all compleatly wrong........ ceviche is a method of cooking... same as teraditos.. the only difference betwen them is that ceviches are chunks of meat fish or veg and traditos are slices.... it is simply cured in salt and citrus juice (could be lime, lemon or orange)...first we gotta mix it wth salt ,cause it keeps the moisture in...and then for just and only 30sek coat it in ex lime juice...after add the remaining ingredients ..which by the original recipe shoud be always red onion chilli and coriander... rest is optional... n that it... well..this video is talking about 3-4 hours in the fridge.... so thats not a ceviche 4sure ..thts a raw fish salad .;]
my mother says that it looks like a salad
if you like of this way,it is ok but it isn't exactly ceviche.
lol odoggz... is there something like 'sushi grade fish' in american or european markets? There may be many ways of making ceviche, but for sure, if the fish is cooked, it's the wrong way.
I am peruvian also. I know other latin-american recipes. This seems like an attempt to do a peruvian ceviche, but is not quite right. Basically, the oil is out, and the other ingredients are too many, too much and too chopped. The magic of ceviche is simplicity, but the fish or other seafood should prevail in quantity over the other ingredients. Ceviche: cut the fish in small squares, add onion in fine slices, add lemon juice until you can see some liquid at the bottom, then add garlic, salt, pepper, your favorite chili pepper, cellery and/or coriander. Let it rest for half an hour and that's it. Serve on a plate over a leaf of lettuce, with a piece of sweet potatos and/or cooked corn.
Give me a break!!! that's not ceviche...i'm peruvian!!! u can write me back if u really wanna know the treue deal!
