How To Make Chocolate Sugar Glaze
Step 1: You will need
- For the chocolate glaze
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 170 ml water
- 130 g sugar
- 50 g butter
- 10 ml cream
- For the sugar glaze
- 90 g caster sugar
- 20 ml cream
- 10 g butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 spoons
- 1 saucepan
- 1 whisk
Step 2: Make a cocoa paste
Add a couple of tablespoons of water to the cocoa powder and mix them rapidly together to form a paste.
Step 3: Make the glaze
Pour the water and sugar into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. When it starts to boil spoon in the cocoa paste. Stir them together using a whisk and leave it to boil for about seven minutes.
After this time, add the cream and the butter, whisk well and bring it back to the boil then remove from the heat.
Step 4: Make the sugar glaze
Add the cream, butter and vanilla to the caster sugar and mix together thoroughly and that's the sugar glaze ready to be used!
Step 5: Serve
Use the glazes before they dry out. The sugar glaze is perfect for glazing cinnamon rolls, sticky buns and donuts and the chocolate glaze can be used as an irresistible dip for donuts or even as a sauce for ice cream.

Looks delicious! Just be careful with boiled sugar water...the stuff is like napalm and will stick to your skin and give a nasty burn!
