How To Make Christmas Vodka

Capture the taste and spirit of Christmas in vodka. Yes, you read that correctly. Christmas vodka is about infusing all the flavours of the Christmas pudding into a smooth alcoholic drink.

Ingredients

  • 250 g brown sugar
  • 150 g raisins
  • 250 g sultanas
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 orange
  • 2 vanilla pods, split
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • almond essence
  • 1 ltr vodka

Method

Put your sugar, spices, dried fruit, a couple of drops of almond essence in a mixing bowl and add the vodka.

Mix all the ingredients together, then store covered in a cool dry place for a week.

After a week, strain the vodka and decant it into a bottle for serving.
