How To Make Cilantro Sauce (Coriander)
Pinky Lilani shows how to make a great Indian cuisine, coriander sauce, using coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, onions and green chilly, with the help of a liquidizing chopper.
Now, in India, very often, we have three types of curries, we have a red curry, which is the masala sauce, which you can refer to my other video on masala sauce. We have a green curry which is also very popular. Then, we have a white curry, which is what the core muzzle made with yogurt, and nuts and cream, but the green curry is very, very popular, and the coriander sauce is the base for the green curry.
So, we have some wonderful fresh coriander that we need, we've got some freshly ground onions really chopped very fine, some ginger, some garlic and some watered help, you need a little liquidizer chopper, that's going to do it very quickly.
So, you chop up the coriander, now, that don't have to be fine at all, just coarsely chopped and put it in, then you can add your onions to that mixture, that's been chopped up. Lovely fresh ginger, which will be giving it that wonderful, healthy taste, and then some garlic that's been chopped up.
And then, a little bit of water, because that is going to help make the whole liquidizing process much easier.
And what you can also do, which is great, have some green chill there, and that will add a nice flavour. So, you put the top on your liquidizer chopper, and you actually just blitz it, so that it gives it a really feel.
So, you blitz it for couple of minutes, and then just have a look at that, and that looks really, really nice.
