This is stuffing and not american meatloaf: It's a british thing used often at christmas. It's used to either stuff the turkey for christmas, of made into small stuffing balls that you have alongside the main meats of the meal (usally roasted turkey or beef). For cooking time if stuffing turkey, weight the turkey when stuffed have correct cooking time. If doing balls, generally 25-35 minuets same temperture as the meat is roasted at.
You know, this site has been very helpful to me many times, IN MANY WAYS and I thank you for it. Users just refrain from the stupid comments!!! Not everyone understands english, not everyone is educated, just try to be positive even if you don't know how!!! Thank you and have a blessed day. Just be greatful for such a technical site, they have made great effort in their practicality, by putting the videos here, I'm happy to have found this site!!!!!
This is a meatloaf. To make a classy American stuffing, saute 1 large carrot, 2 ribs celery, one medium onion, all cut into medium to small dice, in anywhere between 2 and 8 tablespoons of butter. Add seasoning (sage, salt, pepper?) and 1 bag minimum of dried bread cubes. Stir and add broth to moisten (if you haven't used enough butter). You can eat it straight out of the pan, stuff a turkey, or bake it in a separate pan for 20-35 minutes at 350 F to get some brown on it.
This is a meatloaf. For a classy american stuffing, saute onion, carrot, celery in butter. Add sage and any other herbs you want. Add 1 or more bags dried bread cubes. MIx. If you haven't used enough butter, add broth to moisten. You can eat it like this, stuff a turkey, or bake it in its own pan to get it brown.
You're supposed to eat it raw...dummy!
How can you leave out the 25 oz. (1 lb, 9 oz) of sausage meat? All you would have left is 1.75 oz. of bread crumbs, onions, egg and 3 t sage. I love the narrator's voice.
how long would you cook it for? for some one how has never made it before its not very helpful, great preparation though.
