Hi, my name's Harpreet. I'm from a company called Crumbs Couture Cupcakes in London. Today, I'll be showing you various techniques and recipes to help you decorate cupcakes.

For more information, visit our website at cupcakeslondon dot com. I'm now going to show you how to make coffee flavoured butter cream. Take some butter.

It's best if your butter is at room temperature so that it can be incorporated well. Pop your butter into the mixing bowl and give it a quick whirl on high speed. When that's been mixed slightly, open your pouring shoots and pour in some icing sugar.

It's best to pour half of the icing sugar in, shut the flat and mix again. When that's been mixed in, open the shoot again, pour in the remaining icing sugar, shut it flat and give it another go. As the sugar incorporates more and more, it's best to increase the speed.

Pop in some milk. It's best to put in about 50 millilitres and then start your blender again. It's a good idea to open the blender and make sure that you've got all of the ingredients in the middle of the mixing bowl to make sure that it will mix as well.

So, just take a wooden spoon or spatula, give your bowl a knock, wipe off the excess and start the blender. Let it all incorporate well. Take some coffee.

The best coffee to use is actually completely ground coffee so that rather than being in large shape granules, it's actually just completely ground. Put a teaspoon of that in a bowl, add a tiny bit of milk, literally just a few drops so that the coffee can be made into a paste. That should be enough.

Give that a good mix. Try and get it to a consistency so that all of the granules are dissolved and then taking a spoon, take some of your butter cream and pop that into the bowl and then mix this all together. Take a bit more butter cream.

Obviously, the more butter cream you add, the less strong the coffee flavour will be. Mix this in as before. This will be wonderful on coffee flavoured cake, coffee cupcake, or a coffee slice.

So once that's all been mixed in, smells fantastic, it's all been incorporated. That is how you make coffee flavoured butter cream. .
