You don't have to be a professional barista to use a French press. VideoJug will teach you a few surprisingly easy tricks to add flavour and elegance to your breakfasts and afternoon coffee breaks.

Ingredients

  • 2 ground coffee
  • boiling water

Method

Put 2 spoonfuls of coffee into the French press.

Boil your water, and leave for 40-50 seconds to reach the correct temperature. This shouldn't be too hot, as it can scald the coffee and ruin the flavour.

Add enough water to just cover the coffee, then give it a wiggle and leave it for 10 seconds to infuse.

Top up the water to an inch from the top of the jug and leave for 3 minutes.

Gently push down the plunger and serve.
