Welcome to show me the curry.com, I'm Anuja and I'm Hitel and today we're going to make dahi sev purianuja.

It's one of the nice chat varieties that's available, and very similar to papdi chat but we use Pani Puri, the puffed variety. Here's what you are going to need: 1 package Pani Puris it can bought from any Indian grocery store, 1 medium potato, boiled peeled and diced, 1/4 cup garbanzo beans, you can use the canned variety, 1/4 medium onion finely chopped, 1/4 tomato finely chopped, 5 springs of cilantro finely chopped, 1/2 cup yogurt well beaten, Chat Masala, Salt (to taste), Red Chilly powder (to taste), Mint Chutney, Tamarind Chutney, 1/2 cup of the fine variety of Sev - it can be bought at any Indian grocery store.

OK we're going to first start of with just poking little holes very gently in to the pani puri. You have to be very gentle, its very delicate, and sometimes you can see which is the thinner side and which is the thicker side, so you want to grab the thinner side and poke the hole - this is probably the hardest part of the whole thing.

So we're going to start with the potatoes? Put the potatoes and i'll go ahead and do the garbanzo beans, so just a couple of them, one piece of potato and a couple of garbanzo beans in each of them, you don't want two, there are so many other things that you have to put in so you want to leave some space in there. Once again like all other chats it has to be eaten immediately, otherwise it does get soggy.

You want to put the onions and the tomatoes and we are using our hands and our hands are washed, this is the best way to do it. So when you know, when you actually done with it and take a bite in to it, you know you get a little bit of the onions, a little bit of the garbanzo beans, it just tastes so good.

Put in the chutney according to taste and we're going to go ahead and put the dahi, the yogurt. You want to go ahead and put some salt and the red chilly powder and the chat masala - just sprinkle on. This is again red chilly powder to taste, and salt to taste.

OK let's go ahead and sprinkle on some sev on top and again it's to taste. Then we're going to garnish it with cilantro, so it kind of looks nice, gives it some color. There you go and then if you want just to give it a slight taste.

In case you are wondering how to eat these, the challenge is you have to put the whole thing in your mouth and eat it all at once. So join us again on another episode of show me the curry.com - adding a pinch of spice to your life.
