How To Make Dairy Free Frosting
Dairy free frosting may sound complicated but it's just as simple to make as with other frostings.
Hello, my name is Sarah Jones and I'm on the Especially Delicious Cake Company. We make gorgeous birthdays, weddings and all types of celebration cakes perfect for your party. And now, I'm going to show you how to make cake decorations.
I'm going to show you how to make dairy free frosting. Okay, for a dairy free frosting, you need some dairy free margarine and you could cream that together with your icing sugar. Make sure that for a dairy free frosting that it is dairy free margarine and it says so on the box.
Just give that a little bit of a smooth down in the bowl and I will slowly add the icing sugar. Usually, the icing sugar is sifted. This is 100 grams of margarine for 200 grams of icing sugar.
Slowly mix it through. Once it's combined, add the next little bit. Just creaming it together finely to work out any lumps, tweaking round the sides.
You can make this to fill on cupcakes. It's a nice mixture. We're making that to fill a 6-inch cake.
With dairy free frosting, you don't want to mix it too much but make sure there are no lumps. We don't really beat it, otherwise it tends to split. That's where the fat separates and so that doesn't give it a nice consistency.
Perhaps with that one, there we have, and there you have your dairy free frosting. And this is how you make dairy free frosting. .
