How To Make Easy Cornbread

You Will Need
- 1 1/2 cups (380ml) cornmeal
- 1 1/2 cups (380ml) plain flour
- 1 1/4 cups (310ml) milk
- 1 medium egg, beaten
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 diced jalepeno
Method
Mix together the cornmeal and the plain flour. Add the caster sugar, milk, baking powder and mix well. Stir in the beaten egg and diced chilli and continue to stir.
Heat your baking tray over the stove with some butter inside and pour the batter in over this. Bake in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes, checking to see as it turns golden brown - this is when it is ready.
