How To Make Fake Blood

Fake blood is great gory fun for Halloween, or indeed the rest of the year. It is even more fun when you are shown how to make your homemade fake blood by a demented gorilla, our good friend Mike!

Step 1: You will need

  • A glass
  • A measuring spoon
  • A fork
  • Corn flour
  • Glucose syrup
  • Red & Blue food colouring

Step 2: The mixture

Pour 1 Tablespoon of cornflour into a glass. Measure out 4 ounces of glucose syrup (which can be quite tricky as it is very sticky!), and then pour this into the glass with the flour. Mix this all together with a fork.

Step 3: Adding water

Pour 1 fluid ounce of water in to the mixture, and beat it thoroughly with a fork until you have an even mixture. It will be fairly thick.

Step 4: Colouring

Add roughly 20 drops of red food colouring, mix it in, and then add 5 drops of blue food colouring, and mix that in. If you are unhappy with the colour, just play around with the levels of food colouring.
