How To Make Fake Wounds

Hi. My name is Sara Alam I am a professional makeup artist I worked in TV, theatre and commercials for the past 13 years and today I am going to show you some tips and tricks on how to produce professional looking makeup.
I am going to show you how to create a fake wound.

So, the first thing I am going to do is apply this spirit gum. So, you apply where you are going to have your scars and have the scar here. So, you just have wait for the spirit gum to become tacky.



The wax we are going to use is morticians wax, this brand I am using is _ and it comes in two different colours for two different flesh tones but you can colour it to the correct flesh tone. The spirit gum is going to make the wax it here to the skin also if you have done the actual production you wouldnâ't one you are going to drop off in the middle of a production.

Taking the sharp end of this toe I am now going cut into the cut.

This is where I was saying if you want to cut you have to do deep wax thick wax. Now I am using my wound filler which is suppose to look like flesh or conjure blunt.

Our next step is to take out some blood into a little bottle I just find it to easier to use a syringe.

Just to draw around some of the blunt and also it comes out in drops so, its's more realistic.

And you can drop that into the centre of the wound. So, use the blood pigment.
