How To Make Food Electricity

In this video, I am going to show you how to make electricity from food. For this you will need a wire, some potatoes, some zinc nails, and some copper nails and I have here a voltmeter so I can test that it is generating electricity, but you could buy a low voltage LED light or small light bulb from any hardware shop to make sure that it is working. Right, we need to begin by putting on nails into our potato, so you need to put 1 zinc nail in and 1 copper nail in.

Now, to check that it is generating power I am going to put my voltmeter on it. Like you see, it is generating power, now if we wanted to generate more power we could add another potato, so once again we put zinc nail in and a copper nail in, now using our wire, now my wire has got crocodile clips, but you can use any wire and just wrap the ends around the nails. Now what is very important is you need to connect one end to the copper nail, which then goes to a zinc nail.

Now, we will see that it is generating more power and that is how you make electricity from food.
