Step 1:
-
You will need
-
2 skinless fillets, of any white fish, like sea bream, red snapper, sea bass, , cut into half
-
100 g matzo meal
-
1 tsp chilli powder
-
1 tsp ground cumin
-
2 eggs , beaten
-
150 ml vegetable oil , for frying
-
lemon wedges , to garnish
-
few coriander leaves , to garnish
-
salt and pepper
-
1 tray
-
1 frying pan
-
tongs
-
1 fork
-
1 tray lined with paper towel
-
Step 2:
-
Season the fish
-
Begin by seasoning both sides of the fish pieces with chilli, cumin and salt and pepper. Using a fork, dip all the pieces into the beaten egg and then press them firmly down into the matzo meal, to thoroughly bind them in a crunchy coat.
-
Step 3:
-
Fry
-
Place a frying pan onto a medium high heat and add the oil. Allow it to warm through. Once warm, place the fish pieces with your tongs into the oil and fry for roughly 2 minutes on each side. When the matzo has turned a toasty brown, remove the fish from the pan. Then transfer directly onto the tray lined with some paper towel to drain off the excess oil.

Step 4:
-
Serve
-
Once drained, immediately serve this pungent, crispy dish, with your favourite dressing, like mayonnaise or tartar sauce and some homemade chunky chips!
